2024・11・3主日礼拝メッセージ　聖餐式 終末に対する心構え⑨ 「第六の御使いのラッパ」後編 〜サタンは最後に毒麦を蒔く。それが御国の始まり〜 悪霊たちが猛威を振るう時

私が幻の中で見た馬と、それに乗っている者たちの様子はこうであった。彼らは、燃えるような赤と紫と硫黄の色の胸当てを着けており、馬の頭は獅子の頭のようで、口からは火と煙と硫黄が出ていた。 これら三つの災害、すなわち、彼らの口から出る火と煙と硫黄によって、人間の三分の一が殺された。 馬の力は口と尾にあって、その尾は蛇に似て頭を持ち、その頭で害を加えるのである。 これらの災害によって殺されなかった、人間の残りの者たちは、悔い改めて自分たちの手で造った物から離れるということをせず、悪霊どもや、金、銀、銅、石、木で造られた偶像、すなわち見ることも聞くことも歩くこともできないものを、拝み続けた。 また彼らは、自分たちが行っている殺人、魔術、淫らな行いや盗みを悔い改めなかった。 ヨハネの黙示録　9章17～21節

堕落した天使たちが二億もの数で馬に乗って騎兵として、人間の三分の一を殺すためにこの地上に解き放たれることが主によって許されます。 この「殺す」と言うことばはギリシャ語でアポクタイノーἀποκτείνωと言い「霊的な死」を意味することばです。 悪霊たちは、どんな手段を用いてでも、全ての人を破滅に向かわせ、罪に陥らせ、魂を奪い、失望のどん族に陥れようとするのです。地上でも生き地獄、死んでも永遠に地獄です。

彼ら悪霊たちの様子は 「燃えるような赤と紫と硫黄の色の胸当てを着けて」いたと記されています。

「燃えるような赤」と訳されていますが、原文のギリシャ語を見ると、このことばは色のことではなく プリナスπύρινος「炎」と言う意味です。

プリナスπύρινος「炎」の語根は、プラーπυρά「燃える燃料の山」です。元々はプルπῦρ「火」が語根です。 このプリナスπύρινος「炎」は、「石炭や石油やプルトニウム」のような、激しい炎となる原料の山のことを指しているのです。 それは、すなわち「人間の炎のような激しい怒りや嫉妬をモチベーションとしたエネルギー」のことなのです。

「紫」と訳されている、ヒヤキンシノスὑακίνθινοςとは「限りなく黒に近い赤」と言う意味のことばで、花のヒヤシンスの語源となったことばです。語根はヒアキンソスὑάκινθοςと言います。。ヒアキンソスὑάκινθοςは本来ギリシャ神話に登場する美青年の名前であり、彼は同性愛者でした。彼は、嫉妬からもたらされたある事件に巻き込まれて死ぬことになりますが、その時に流された大量の血の色がヒヤシンスの花の色となったとされています。古代ギリシャでも、古代ローマでも同性愛やトランスジェンダーは当たり前の文化の世界だったのです。 ここでは、ヒヤキンシノスὑακίνθινοςは「死にゆく者が流す血」を表していることが分かります。

「硫黄」とは、セイオデスθειώδηςと言い、語根はセオスθεός「神」です。ギリシャ神話の全能神であるゼウスの力の象徴である武器のことをケラウノスκεραυνόςと言います。「雷、火と硫黄」と言う意味です。要するに、このセイオデスθειώδηςは「焼き尽くす神」を表すことばなのです。

「胸当て」はソラクスθώραξと言い、その「胸当て」ソラクスθώραξを見れば、その者たちが誰の軍勢なのかが一目瞭然になる象徴的な語彙です。ここでは、地上の人々を、その罪によりさばくためにサタンより遣わされる悪霊たちが、怒りや嫉妬やさばきと言う「胸当て」を付けて来ます。主がそのことを許されたしるしとしてです。反対にクリスチャンは聖徒たちのしるしとして「正義の胸当て」「信仰と愛の胸当て」を付けています(エペソ6:14、Ⅰテサロニケ5:8)。

「馬の頭は獅子の頭のようで、口からは火と煙と硫黄が出ていた」とはどのような意味でしょう。

悪霊たちは、この地上では、イエスさまと同じ、獅子の頭のような権威を持ち「炎のような激しい怒りや嫉妬をモチベーションとしたエネルギー」を持って「死にゆく者が流す血」を携え「焼き尽くす神」から送られて来ると言う意味です。これら三つの災害は「激しい妬みと嫉妬により地上で流される多くの血による神の怒りのさばき」「神の憤りのぶどう酒」のことを言っているのです。それにより、地上の三分の一の人々の魂は霊的に死に、獣であるサタンの虜になると言う預言です。

また、彼らの後にもう一人、第三の御使いがやって来て、大声で言った。「もしだれかが獣とその像を拝み、自分の額か手に刻印を受けるなら、その者は、神の怒りの杯に混ぜ物なしに注がれた、神の憤りのぶどう酒を飲み、聖なる御使いたちと子羊の前で火と硫黄によって苦しめられる。彼らの苦しみの煙は、世々限りなく立ち上る。獣とその像を拝む者たち、また、だれでも獣の名の刻印を受ける者には、昼も夜も安らぎがない。」ここに、聖徒たち、すなわち神の戒めを守り、イエスに対する信仰を持ち続ける者たちの忍耐が必要である。また私は、天からの声がこう言うのを聞いた。「書き記せ、『今から後、主にあって死ぬ死者は幸いである』と。」御霊も言われる。「しかり。その人たちは、その労苦から解き放たれて安らぐことができる。彼らの行いが、彼らとともについて行くからである。」 ヨハネの黙示録　14章9～13節

すると、火をつかさどる権威を持つ別の御使いが祭壇から出て来て、鋭い鎌を持つ御使いに大声で呼びかけた。「あなたの鋭い鎌を送って、地のぶどうの房を刈り集めよ。ぶどうはすでに熟している。」 御使いは地上に鎌を投げて、地のぶどうを刈り集め、神の憤りの大きな踏み場に投げ入れた。 都の外にあるその踏み場でぶどうが踏まれた。すると、血がその踏み場から流れ出て、馬のくつわの高さに届くほどになり、千六百スタディオンに広がった。 ヨハネの黙示録　14章18～20節

「火をつかさどる権威を持つ別の御使い」と出て来るように、御使いには火をつかさどる権威が元々あって、悪霊たちも同じように火をつかさどることが出来るのです。そして、地のぶどうである人々を刈り集め、その踏み場で踏まれると大量の血が流れ出ると言う預言です。

サタンは終わりの時代に総仕上げとして、この世界に「毒麦」を蒔くのです。

畑は世界で、良い種は御国の子ら、毒麦は悪い者の子らです。 毒麦を蒔いた敵は悪魔であり、収穫は世の終わり(総仕上げ)、刈る者は御使いたちです。 ですから、毒麦が集められて火で焼かれるように、世の終わりにもそのようになります。 マタイの福音書　13章38～40節

サタンは、元天使で「守護者ケルビム」と呼ばれ「火の石を間を歩く」者でした。「火をつかさどる」と言う意味です。

わたしは、油注がれた守護者ケルビムとしてあなたを任命した。あなたは神の聖なる山にいて、火の石の間を歩いていた。 あなたの行いは、あなたが創造された日から、あなたに不正が見出されるまでは、完全だった。 あなたの商いが繁盛すると、あなたのうちに暴虐が満ち、こうしてあなたは罪ある者となった。そこで、わたしはあなたを汚れたものとして神の山から追い出した。守護者ケルビムよ。わたしは火の石の間からあなたを消え失せさせた。 エゼキエル書　28章14～16節

「馬の力は口と尾にあって」とはどのような意味でしょうか。

「馬」とは動物の馬のことではなく「権威」を象徴するものです。その馬に「乗っている」は、原文ではカセマイκάθημαι「占領する、住む」と言います。「完全にサタンに権威を占領されている状態」「サタンの住む家」を意味することばです。 そして、その権威は「口と尾」にあるのです。 馬の力は口にあります。ですから、馬を御するために、その口にくつわをはめるのです。

私たちはみな、多くの点で過ちを犯すからです。もし、ことばで過ちを犯さない人がいたら、その人はからだ全体も制御できる完全な人です。馬を御するためには、その口にくつわをはめれば、馬のからだ全体を思いどおりに動かすことができます。 ヤコブの手紙　3章2～3節

ことばには権威があります。ですから、悪霊たちはことばで過ちを犯させようと働きかけて来ます。そして、多くの人が、その口を悪霊たちに思うがままにさせるようになるのです。

舌は火です。不義の世界です。舌は私たちの諸器官の中にあってからだ全体を汚し、人生の車輪を燃やして、ゲヘナの火によって焼かれます。どのような種類の獣も鳥も、這うものも海の生き物も、人類によって制することができ、すでに制せられています。 しかし、舌を制することができる人は、だれもいません。舌は休むことのない悪であり、死の毒で満ちています。 私たちは、舌で、主であり父である方をほめたたえ、同じ舌で、神の似姿に造られた人間を呪います。 同じ口から賛美と呪いが出て来るのです。私の兄弟たち、そのようなことが、あってはなりません。 ヤコブの手紙　3章6～10節

では「その尾は蛇に似て頭を持ち、その頭で害を加えるのである」とは何を意味するでしょう。

馬の「尾」が「蛇」で、その蛇の頭で「害」を加えるのです。

主よ私をよこしまな人から助け出し暴虐を行う者から守ってください。 彼らは心の中で悪を企み日ごとに戦いを仕掛けてきます。 蛇のようにその舌を鋭くし唇の下にはまむしの毒があります。〚セラ〛 詩篇　140篇1～3節

蛇、まむしの頭はサタンです。その唇から毒を放ちます。イエスさまは、偽善のパリサイ人や律法学者たちに対して次のように言われました。

蛇よ、まむしの子孫よ。おまえたちは、ゲヘナの刑罰をどうして逃れることができるだろうか。 マタイの福音書　23章33節

「蛇よ、まむしの子孫よ」とは、サタンによって富を力にして富に仕えている者たちのことです。それらの人々のことを「サタンの会衆」と言います。サタン崇拝者たちのことです。蛇であるサタンのモチベーションは、嫉妬と妬みです。「蛇帯」(じゃたい)と言う妖怪がいるくらいです。嫉妬心が帯に取り憑いて蛇となると言うのです。 嫉妬と妬みの思いは、人間を死に至らしめる力があります。その力によって天使が堕落してしまったくらい強い力です。

それが故に、神さまは蛇となった天使に言われます。

わたしは敵意を、おまえと女の間に、おまえの子孫と女の子孫の間に置く。彼はおまえの頭を打ち、おまえは彼のかかとを打つ。 創世記　3章15節

「敵意」である「十字架のイエス」を「おまえと女」である「サタンと教会」の間に置く。と言う預言です。「おまえの子孫と女の子孫」とは「悪霊たちと教会の次世代」のことです。「敵意」となって十字架に死なれ血を流された、その血潮だけがサタンの頭を打つことが出来るのです。それでも、サタンはイエスさまのかかとを打ってくるでしょう。イエスさまのからだである教会のかかとが打たれるのです。走れないようにするためです。信仰の継承をさせなくし、信仰の道のりを走れなくさせようとするのです。メシヤを迎えると言うリレーに失敗させるのがサタンの目的です。

私たちは、サタンを馬に乗らせてはいけません。すべての権威をイエスさまに明け渡しましょう。イエスさまにカセマイκάθημαιしていただくのです。まず、イエスさま、私の内に来てお住まいください。と祈るだけでいいのです。

カセマイκάθημαιが最初に出て来る箇所を見ると明確です。

闇の中に住んでいた(カセマイκάθημαι)民は大きな光を見る。死の陰の地に住んでいた(カセマイκάθημαι)者たちの上に光が昇る。」 マタイの福音書　4章16節

闇の中、死の陰の地に住んでいる(カセマイκάθημαι)人々に光が昇ったのです。今はメシヤであるイエスさまの権威の支配の時代です。

しかし、残念ながら、これらの災害によって殺されなかった、人間の残りの者たちは、悔い改めて自分たちの手で造った物から離れるということをせず、悪霊どもや、金、銀、銅、石、木で造られた偶像、すなわち見ることも聞くことも歩くこともできないものを、拝み続けます。

これは「繁栄の神学」が実に根深くこの世を、また教会をも支配し続けると言う預言ではないでしょうか。

そして、その結末は、

また彼らは「自分たちが行っている殺人、魔術、淫らな行いや盗みを悔い改めなかった」と言うことです。

殺人がどんどんと身近なこととなり、魔術が横行します。魔術とはフォルカイアφαρμακείαと言い「薬物中毒」のことと関連しています。淫らな行いとはポルネイアπορνείαと言い「性犯罪やポルノ中毒」のことです。強盗クレマκλέμμαも横行します。クレマκλέμμαとは、今で言う「闇バイト」のようなことです。「簡単に盗みをする」と言う意味です。 簡単に罪を犯し、悔い改めが出来ない時代が今来ています。

ヨラムはエフーを見ると、「エフー、元気か」と尋ねた。エフーは答えた。「何が元気か。あなたの母イゼベルの姦淫と呪術が盛んに行われているのに。」 列王記 第二　9章22節

これは「イゼベルの姦淫と呪術」の支配です。

この地上はナホムの預言通りになるでしょう。

わざわいだ、流血の町。すべては偽りで略奪に満ち、強奪はやまない。むちの音。車輪の響き。駆ける馬。飛び跳ねる戦車。 突進する騎兵。剣のきらめき。槍のひらめき。おびただしい戦死者。山なす屍。数えきれない死体。死体に人はつまずく。 これは、遊女の淫行の数々に、呪術を行う女の麗しさによるものだ。彼女はその淫行によって国々を、その呪術によって諸部族を売り渡した。 ナホム書　3章1～4節

たくさんの人々が、悪霊たちが蒔く「毒麦」にやられて「霊的な死」の状態に陥ることが預言されています。

今日は聖餐式です。次のみことばを受けて、悔い改めを持って、主の肉と血に与かる者となりましょう。

それとも、神のいつくしみ深さがあなたを悔い改めに導くことも知らないで、その豊かないつくしみと忍耐と寛容を軽んじているのですか。あなたは、頑なで悔い改める心がないために、神の正しいさばきが現れる御怒りの日の怒りを、自分のために蓄えています。 ローマ人への手紙　2章4～5節

私たちが神をほめたたえる賛美の杯は、キリストの血にあずかることではありませんか。私たちが裂くパンは、キリストのからだにあずかることではありませんか。パンは一つですから、私たちは大勢いても、一つのからだです。皆がともに一つのパンを食べるのですから。肉によるイスラエルのことを考えてみなさい。ささげ物を食する者は、祭壇の交わりにあずかることになるのではありませんか。私は何を言おうとしているのでしょうか。偶像に献げた肉に何か意味があるとか、偶像に何か意味があるとか、言おうとしているのでしょうか。むしろ、彼らが献げる物は、神にではなくて悪霊に献げられている、と言っているのです。私は、あなたがたに悪霊と交わる者になってもらいたくありません。あなたがたは、主の杯を飲みながら、悪霊の杯を飲むことはできません。主の食卓にあずかりながら、悪霊の食卓にあずかることはできません。 コリント人への手紙 第一　10章16～21節

しかし、安心してください。第六の御使いのラッパが吹き鳴らされる時は、創造の六日目の時なのです。

神は彼らを祝福された。神は彼らに仰せられた。「生めよ。増えよ。地に満ちよ。地を従えよ。海の魚、空の鳥、地の上を這うすべての生き物を支配せよ。」神は仰せられた。「見よ。わたしは、地の全面にある、種のできるすべての草と、種の入った実のあるすべての木を、今あなたがたに与える。あなたがたにとってそれは食物となる。また、生きるいのちのある、地のすべての獣、空のすべての鳥、地の上を這うすべてのもののために、すべての緑の草を食物として与える。」すると、そのようになった。 神はご自分が造ったすべてのものを見られた。見よ、それは非常に良かった。夕があり、朝があった。第六日。 創世記　1章28～31節

これは、神の国の主権が回復すると言う預言です。

「種のできるすべての草と、種の入った実のあるすべての木を、今あなたがたに与える」 「すべての緑の草を食物として与える」 「種のできる草、種の入った実のある木、緑の草」「種」とは「神のことば」のことです。これらは「神のことば、真理のことば」の回復によって、魂といのちが回復すると言う預言なのです。「神のことば」イエス・キリストが再び来られるのです。永遠のいのち、よみがえりのからだが与えられます。そして「新しい創造」が始まります。

イエスさまの十字架の御わざにより救いが完了したことを感謝します。

こういうわけで、私たちは恐れる心を持とうではありませんか。神の安息に入るための約束がまだ残っているのに、あなたがたのうちのだれかが、そこに入れなかったということのないようにしましょう。 というのも、私たちにも良い知らせが伝えられていて、あの人たちと同じなのです。けれども彼らには、聞いたみことばが益となりませんでした。みことばが、聞いた人たちに信仰によって結びつけられなかったからです。 信じた私たちは安息に入るのですが、「わたしは怒りをもって誓った。『彼らは決して、わたしの安息に入れない』」と神が言われたとおりなのです。もっとも、世界の基が据えられたときから、みわざはすでに成し遂げられています。 ヘブル人への手紙　4章1～3節

Sunday Sermon and Communion Service - November 3, 2024 Preparation for the End Times (Part 9) "The Sixth Angel's Trumpet" (Part 2) ~ Satan Sows Tares at the End. This Marks the Beginning of God's Kingdom ~ The Time When Evil Spirits Run Rampant This is how I saw the horses and their riders in my vision: The riders wore breastplates that were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses were like lions' heads, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and sulfur. A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues—the fire, smoke, and sulfur that came from their mouths. The power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails. Their tails were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict harm. The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality, or their thefts. (Revelation 9:17-21) The Lord will permit two hundred million fallen angels to be released upon the earth as cavalry to kill one-third of humanity. The word "kill" here is the Greek word "apokteinō," which signifies "spiritual death." These evil spirits will use any means to lead all people to destruction, trap them in sin, steal their souls, and plunge them into despair. It means both living hell on earth and eternal hell after death. The description of these evil spirits states that they wore "breastplates of fiery red, dark blue, and sulfur-colored." What is translated as "fiery red" is actually "purinos" (πύρινος) in the original Greek, meaning "flame" rather than a color. The root of "purinos" is "pura" (πυρά), meaning "a pile of burning fuel," which comes from "pur" (πῦρ), meaning "fire." This "purinos" refers to mountains of materials that produce intense flames, like coal, oil, or plutonium. Symbolically, this represents "energy motivated by human flames of intense anger and jealousy."

The word translated as "dark blue" is "hyakinthinos" (ὑακίνθινος), which means "a red so dark it's almost black." This word is the origin of the flower name hyacinth. Its root word is "hyakinthos" (ὑάκινθος), originally the name of a beautiful young man in Greek mythology who was gay. He died in an incident sparked by jealousy, and it's said that the abundant blood he shed became the color of the hyacinth flower. Both ancient Greece and Rome had cultures where homosexuality and transgender identity were commonplace. Here, "hyakinthinos" clearly represents "the blood shed by those who are dying."

"Sulfur" is "theiōdēs" (θειώδης), with its root in "theos" (θεός), meaning "god." In Greek mythology, Zeus's symbol of power as the almighty god was called "keraunos" (κεραυνός), meaning "lightning, fire, and sulfur." In essence, this "theiōdēs" represents "the god who burns completely."

The "breastplate" is "thorax" (θώραξ), a symbolic vocabulary that instantly identifies whose army these beings belong to. Here, evil spirits sent by Satan come to judge the people of earth for their sins, wearing "breastplates" of anger, jealousy, and judgment. The Lord permits this as a sign. In contrast, Christians wear the "breastplate of righteousness" and the "breastplate of faith and love" as signs of their sainthood (Ephesians 6:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:8).

What does it mean that "the horses' heads were like lions' heads, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and sulfur"?

It means that evil spirits will possess authority on earth similar to Jesus (who is called the Lion), wielding "energy motivated by intense anger and jealousy," carrying "the blood of the dying," and coming as agents of "the god who burns completely." These three plagues represent "God's judgment of wrath through the blood shed on earth due to intense jealousy and envy" - "the wine of God's fury." This prophecy indicates that one-third of humanity's souls will spiritually die and become captives of Satan, the beast.

Then a third angel followed them, saying in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name." This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." (Revelation 14:9-13)

Another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, "Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from earth's vine, because its grapes are ripe."

The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath.

They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses' bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia. (Revelation 14:18-20)

As we see an angel appearing "who had charge of the fire," angels inherently possess authority over fire, and evil spirits can similarly wield fire. The prophecy speaks of gathering the earth's grapes - representing people - and when these are trampled in the winepress, an enormous amount of blood flows out.

At the end times, Satan's final act will be to sow "tares" in this world.

The field is the world, and the good seed represents the children of the kingdom. The tares are the children of the evil one. The enemy who sows the tares is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age (the final completion), and the reapers are angels. Just as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. (Matthew 13:38-40)

Satan was originally an angel, called the "guardian cherub" who "walked among the fiery stones" - meaning he had authority over fire.

"I ordained and anointed you as the guardian cherub, and you were on the holy mountain of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones." (Ezekiel 28:14-16)

What does it mean that "the power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails"?

The "horse" here doesn't refer to the animal but symbolizes "authority." "Riding" them is translated from the Greek "kathēmai" (κάθημαι), meaning "to occupy, to dwell." It signifies "a state of being completely occupied by Satan's authority" - "a house where Satan dwells." And this authority lies in "the mouth and tail." A horse's power is in its mouth. That's why we put bits in horses' mouths to control them.

"We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal." (James 3:2-3)

Words carry authority. Therefore, evil spirits work to cause people to stumble in their speech. Many people will allow their mouths to be controlled by evil spirits at will.

"The tongue is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one's life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and sea creatures can be tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be." (James 3:6-10)

What does it mean that "their tails were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict harm"?

The horse's "tail" is like a "serpent," and it causes harm with its head.

"Rescue me, LORD, from evildoers; protect me from the violent, who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day. They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips." Selah (Psalm 140:1-3)

The head of the serpent and viper is Satan. Poison flows from their lips. Jesus spoke these words to the hypocritical Pharisees and teachers of the law:

"You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?" (Matthew 23:33)

"You snakes! You brood of vipers!" refers to those who serve money, using wealth as their power. These people are called "Satan's synagogue" - worshippers of Satan. The serpent Satan's motivation is jealousy and envy. There's even a Japanese yokai (supernatural creature) called "Jatai" - where jealousy possesses a belt and turns it into a snake. Thoughts of jealousy and envy have the power to bring death to humans. This power was strong enough to cause even an angel to fall.

That's why God says to the angel who became a serpent:

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." (Genesis 3:15)

This is a prophecy that places "enmity" - "the cross of Jesus" - between "you and the woman" - "Satan and the church." "Your offspring and hers" refers to "evil spirits and the next generation of the church." Only the blood shed by Jesus, who became the "enmity" and died on the cross, can crush Satan's head. Yet Satan will still strike at Jesus's heel - striking at the heel of the church, which is Jesus's body. This is to prevent running - to stop the passing on of faith and to prevent running the race of faith. Satan's goal is to make us fail in the relay of welcoming the Messiah.

We must not let Satan ride our horses. Let's surrender all authority to Jesus. Let Him "kathēmai" (dwell) in us. All we need to do is pray, "Jesus, please come and dwell within me."

The first appearance of kathēmai makes this clear:

"The people living (kathēmai) in darkness have seen a great light; on those living (kathēmai) in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned." (Matthew 4:16)

Light has risen upon those who dwell (kathēmai) in darkness and in the land of the shadow of death. Now is the era of the authority and reign of Jesus the Messiah.

"The tongue is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one's life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and sea creatures can be tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be." (James 3:6-10)

What does it mean that "their tails were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict harm"?

The horse's "tail" is like a "serpent," and it causes harm with its head.

However, tragically, the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent and turn away from the works of their hands. They continued to worship demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk.

Isn't this a prophecy that the "prosperity gospel" will continue to have a deep-rooted control over both the world and the church?

And the outcome is this:

"Nor did they repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality, or their thefts."

Murder will become increasingly commonplace, and sorcery will run rampant. The word for sorcery here is "pharmakeia" (φαρμακεία), which is related to "drug addiction." Sexual immorality is "porneia" (πορνεία), referring to "sexual crimes and pornography addiction." Theft "klemma" (κλέμμα) will also be widespread. Klemma is like what we now call "black market jobs" - meaning "to steal easily." We are now entering an era where people commit sins easily and are unable to repent.

When Joram saw Jehu, he asked, "Have you come in peace, Jehu?" Jehu replied, "How can there be peace as long as all the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound?" (2 Kings 9:22)

This represents the dominion of "Jezebel's prostitution and sorcery."

The earth will become just as Nahum prophesied.

"Woe to the city of blood, full of lies, full of plunder, never without victims! The crack of whips, the clatter of wheels, galloping horses, and jolting chariots! Charging cavalry, flashing swords, and glittering spears! Many casualties, piles of dead, bodies without number, people stumbling over the corpses—all because of the wanton lust of a prostitute, alluring, the mistress of sorceries, who enslaved nations by her prostitution and peoples by her witchcraft."

Nahum 3:1–4

It is foretold that many people will fall into a "spiritual death" state, affected by the "tares" sown by evil spirits.

Today is the Communion service. Let us take the following words, repent, and partake in the body and blood of the Lord.

"Or do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, forbearance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed."

Romans 2:4–5

"Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf. Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar? Do I mean then that food sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons."

However, take heart. The sounding of the sixth trumpet is the time of the sixth day of creation.

"God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.' Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.' And it was so. God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day."

Genesis 1:28–31

This is a prophecy that the sovereignty of God’s Kingdom will be restored.

"I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it."

"I give every green plant for food."

"Seed-bearing plants, trees with seed-bearing fruit, green plants." "Seeds" here represent "the Word of God." These symbolize the restoration of "the Word of God, the Word of Truth," leading to the recovery of soul and life. "The Word of God"—Jesus Christ—will come again. Eternal life and a resurrected body will be given, and "a new creation" will begin.

We are grateful that salvation was accomplished through the work of Jesus on the cross.

Therefore, let us have a reverent heart. Although the promise of entering God’s rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, "So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’" And yet His works have been finished since the creation of the world.
